Freelance Occupational Therapists

As a member of our Occupational Therapy team you'll get the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and their families to conduct assessments and therapy sessions face-to-face in your local area. Though this is a freelance post, we are all about community and encourage everyone to get involved in CPD activities!

As a freelancer, you will be required to access your own supervision outside of The Owl Centre and must be registered either as a sole trader or limited company.

Why work for us?

You'll be part of a truly brilliant team of clinicians, who really care about the work they do. We’re all about quality over quantity.

At The Owl Centre, we pride ourselves on helping families to access the right help and support they need to make their lives better through delivering the best assessment and therapy services for both children and adults. We've got an exceptional team of highly skilled clinicians, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, ASD (Autism) Practitioners and ADHD Specialists who work with thousands of families, both through private services and via NHS trusts and local authorities. Thanks to our excellent nationwide reputation, we have become the 'go to' experts for brands such as Netflix, Organix and Aptamil for advice about child development and early communication skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Liaising with clients, families, third parties and The Owl Centre team regarding any findings and progress made with each client.
  • Ensuring case notes and reports are written and uploaded in a timely manner to the relevant system(s).

  • An accredited Occupational Therapy degree

  • At least 1 years’ experience as a Occupational Therapist (post-competency)
  • Ideally a minimum of 1-2 full school days available to work each week (this would enable you to spend a full day in one school, seeing multiple children – minimising your travel time whilst maximising your earnings!)
  • Ability to travel for appointments in any of the following areas: Berkshire, Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Greater London, Hertfordshire, or Oxfordshire.
