ADHD Assessor - Freelance

We offer assessment and diagnosis to both NHS and private patients, and have a track record of assisting the reduction of NHS waiting times (we're seeing patients who have been waiting several years for an assessment!) 🐌

To help us help more people in our local communities, we need an extra set of trustworthy hands 🤝 


This role is remote, but you must be based in the UK.

Whether you can provide us with 3 days per week or 5 days per week, we'd love to hear from you!


💡 Our ideal candidate would have:

  • A clinical qualification in Medicine, Speech & Language Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Clinical Psychology etc.
  • Appropriate registration with one of the statutory bodies (NMC, GMC, HCPC etc).
  • Relevant experience in ADHD assessment and diagnosis.
  • Knowledge and experience of providing psycho-social and/or psycho-educational support and intervention. 
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, acts and developments relevant to the field of ADHD service provisions. 
  • The ability to work autonomously, managing designated caseload independently.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use software such as Microsoft Word and Teams. 
  • Outstanding communication skills when speaking to service users, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.


🙌 Our ADHD Nurse Specialists are vital to the smooth-running of the patient journey and are responsible for: 

  • Conducting and completing ADHD assessments and supporting people with ADHD.
  • Advising and supporting colleagues to ensure our ADHD assessment pathways are of the highest quality and result in positive outcomes for our clients.
  • Making accurate, robust and appropriate diagnoses with confidence, especially in the cases where differential diagnosis and/or comorbid conditions are concerned.
  • Upholding full professional responsibility for diagnostic decision-making within competence, with supervision from Clinical Leads.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely client records and writing professional, clinically-sound reports within the expected timescales.
  • Recommending  further assessments or interventions which may be beneficial and appropriate for the client..
  • Collaborating with the senior leadership team to develop and innovate the ADHD service.
  • Contributing to the development of other clinicians by providing consultations and training.
  • Providing education and guidance to patients, families and caregivers on managing ADHD symptoms and improving overall wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient journey.
  • Remaining up-to-date with developments and research regarding ADHD diagnosis and treatment, continuously updating best practices and providing evidence-based care.
